I’m Mia, a writer/director and experienced script supervisor.

I am a recent graduate of the London Film School, where I earned an MA in Screenwriting and developed a feature-length drama exploring a mother-daughter relationship and a comedy TV pilot tackling generational loneliness on social media. As a multilingual storyteller, my unique perspective, shaped by life in Canada, Lebanon, France, and the UK, influences my writing with cultural nuance and personal resilience.

My filmmaking journey began with a BA in Practical Filmmaking at MetFilm School, where I honed leadership skills through collaborative projects and gained hands-on experience across various film set roles. My most recent work included writing and directing my graduation film titled Memorial Picture House, a short exploring family, sisterhood, and loss through the lens of the afterlife. To date, ‘Memorial Picture House’ has won multiple awards such as ‘Best Student Drama Short’ at the London Independent Film Awards and was nominated at the Montreal Independent Film Festival. My other credits include my debut short Breach, which won the People’s Choice Award at the Ealing Film Festival.

Beyond writing and directing, I’ve worked as a script supervisor on various short films, ensuring continuity across productions. I’m excited to share upcoming projects and continuing to bring impactful stories to any screen.
